Target have developed some new functionality to the Accord Contract Management System and is now shortlisted for another Innovation Award.
The Accord system created by Target Information Systems has been supporting the Procurement and Contracts Office at The National University of Ireland, Galway, to improve data capture and provide real time data and reporting while helping the university gain control, compliance and savings.
Target had previously developed the base Accord system with NUI Galway to also deliver a fully OJEU compliant Tender Tracker, bespoke to the university. The implementation of the Procurement Contracts Database system has already won the 2016 Innovation Award at the National Procurement and Supply Chain Awards; now with its new functionality it could win again for 2017.
The great feature about the Accord Contract Management System is that it completely configurable to help organisations gain insights into any part of their data. The new development to Accord has been a collaboration with NUI Galway and Target; the system now can capture information around tendering to create reports that comply with the Regulation 84 Report Content Checklist.
Under Regulation 84 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, there is an obligation to create a report on every over-threshold public contract and framework agreement entered, and to send a copy of this to the Cabinet Office if requested to do so.
The National Procurement and Supply Chain Awards are the benchmark for excellence for those demonstrating best practice and innovation in the procurement and supply chain professional in Ireland. The award ceremony is to be held on the 19th October 2017.
Fingers crossed for NUI Galway!
