An ambitious organisation, working hard to deliver the best services for the 250,000 residents in Wolverhampton.
The Procurement Team at City of Wolverhampton Council were previously working through an Excel Spreadsheet to manage their contract management process, however found it lacked functionality and was not useful as a central repository of information for their team.
Target approached the Council with a solution; their Accord Contract Management System, the system allows external spreadsheet information to be absorbed and managed, so the Procurement Team can gain more centralised control of contract and supplier information.
Along with Accord’s existing contract management tools, the team at Target developed the system to provide an option to obtain Freedom of Information data and Gateway Tracker.
The Gateway Tracker was configured to match the requirements from the Council to create an extensive tool to deliver full compliance for team, where they wanted to track, record and trace each Gateway at every stage. The tracker has also been developed to allow the Procurement Team at City of Wolverhampton Council to upload documents, as well as upload and view templates to act as a user guide; and create an approval process against each Gateway with email notification to alert relevant colleagues.
